On July 19th, Professor Zheng Guilin, a professor and doctoral supervisor of the School of Electrical Engineering and Automation at Wuhan University, as well as the Chairman of Guangzhou Suntrans Control System Engineering Equipment Co., Ltd. (referred to as Suntrans Control™), was invited to take part in the academic seminar marking the 60th anniversary of Guilin Architectural Planning and Design Group Co., Ltd., to share and exchange viewpoints on aspects such as smart energy and safety management.
Professor Zheng Guilin focused on the themes of "Smart Integrated Energy Management and Control Solution" and "Intelligent Charging Entire Process Management and Control (Active Fire Prevention) Solution". Concerning the issues of energy conservation, new energy, charging facility management, and active fire prevention that drew widespread attention from all parties, he adopted a methodology combining energy-saving principles with typical implementation cases, presenting a splendid lecture to approximately one hundred representatives from the local Housing and Urban-Rural Development Bureau, major universities, electrical designers of the group, as well as colleagues from other design units.
During the meeting, Professor Zheng Guilin showcased to the attendees the innovative achievement independently developed by Suntrans Control™, namely the "AC Zero-Crossing Arc-Free Intelligent Relay Protection Switch", along with emerging cutting-edge intelligent products like intelligent controllers integrating monitoring, protection, power control, communication, and programmability. He proposed that against the backdrop of addressing the challenges of "Carbon Peak and Carbon Neutrality", the groundbreaking ADR + VPP solution of the overall flexible intelligent power distribution system constitutes a vital approach for achieving AI operation in urban energy management. Through the application of innovative technologies and intelligent products and the establishment of a large-scale integrated energy management system, remote dynamic monitoring and digital management of the transmission and consumption links of the energy system can be implemented, forming a closed-loop AI energy control, thereby realizing genuine energy conservation, emission reduction, and cost reduction.
Taking the exemplary case of the overall flexible Internet of Things intelligent transformation project of the power distribution system of Guangzhou Zhu Guang Mediterranean International Hotel as an illustration. The project involves a 50-story super high complex with a total area of 138,000 square meters. The Suntrans Control™ team executed the overall flexible intelligent power distribution system transformation for it, specifically encompassing a comprehensive upgrade of the central air conditioning power system and measurement and control system, digitizing the overall power distribution system of the hotel, achieving AI control over 36 cold air cabinets and fresh air systems throughout the building, realizing PDWC three-dimensional HVAC control, and attaining extreme energy conservation and scientific control at the second level, etc. In 2020, the project construction and transformation were completed. After one year of actual operation, under the intelligent control of the AI system, the annual average EER of the overall air conditioning room system of the project has steadily exceeded 5.7, reaching the standard of a super-efficient room. The central air conditioning room control room is unmanned, reducing energy consumption while significantly curtailing the operation and maintenance expenses of the hotel's air conditioning system. In 2021, the central air conditioning room of the Mediterranean Hotel achieved "Carbon Neutrality".
Professor Zheng Guilin also provided an alternative solution to the currently most concerned issue of charging safety for electric vehicles and electric bicycles – by applying intelligent AC zero-crossing measurement and control electrical series switches, intelligent terminals for power distribution and transformation management and control DTU, etc. in intelligent charging systems, analyzing the safety status of charging equipment to prevent the occurrence of fires.

Through the exchanges in this academic seminar, all parties involved have acquired a more direct and in-depth comprehension of Suntrans Control™'s power Internet of Things technology and its applications, providing a multi-party win-win platform for expanding its market application and influence.
